Work Duty

LSA is a community swim club: owned and made better by its members!

Choose one of the following ways to fulfill annual Work Duty obligations:

Sign Up

All sign ups for Work Days or Chores will be posted here.  
The Operations Committee hosts four Saturday Work Days throughout the year (each Work Day typically requires a 3-hour time commitment):
  • April 5 & May 3:  spring preparations for season opening
  • July 26:  mid-season cleaning and upkeep
  • September 13:  fall clean up and season closing
Or sign up for a special project (aka pool maintenance) and create your own schedule!
Throughout the year, we share the load with members contributing to Chores including:
  • snow removal (off-season)
  • restocking ice cream supply
  • cleaning out the fridge and grill
  • organizing the pool house
  • general pool grounds maintenance

Pay Opt-Out Fee

Pay the $100 opt-out fee during annual registration (or pay by September 30, 2026).  Choose the "opt-out" option under Pool Participation when you pay your dues.

Purchase Supplies

The Operations Commitee adds needed items to the LSA Amazon Wish List.  Simply purchase $100 of gift cards or pool supplies from the list, sending items directly to LSA, and send a copy of your order confirmation to [email protected]. 

Volunteer

Join the LSA Board of Trustees  
This all-volunteer committee meets monthly to ensure a safe and fun swim season and build a thriving and sustainable swim club.   

Offer your professional skills to help with special projects
We are always looking for help with landscaping, electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance, painting and minor construction.  We can also use legal and financial advisors, communications, advertising and so much more. Let us know how you would like to contribute. 
In addition to annual work duty, members are highly encouraged to serve one three-year Board term sometime during the life of their membership. As a Board Member, you are a decision-maker and help the LSA community. 

We are currently in need of the following Board Member positions:


Operations Team Member: Be a member of this 3-person team, responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the pool, supervising work days, communicating with vendors and contractors, and completing some hands-on repairs

Communications Chair: Manage member communication, including email newsletter, weekly happenings updates, and promoting events. 

Dive Team Parent Coordinator: Work closely with the Swim Team Parent Coordinator and Dive Team Coach to coordinate parent support and communication. Manage meet volunteer sign up and make sure all parent spots are filled each meet. 

Membership Chair: Manage our membership database, onboard new members, distribute bonds, track work duty, and maintain bond return list. Additional duties include answering membership questions, new member inquiries, creating membership cards, and snack cards. 

Treasurer: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, report financial performance to the board, and communicate with vendors regarding payments.  Track and file required tax documents.
