Stroke & Turn Clinic

The LSA Swim & Dive Team is proud to offer a Stroke & Turn clinic during our summer swim season. The goal of our clinic is to strengthen, enhance and further develop the skills of the competitive level swimmer.

This summer, the program will be led by Owen Bossio (Advanced group) and Chris Valentino (Intermediate group), who bring strong experience and continuity from their work with the LSA Swim Team.

The program is structured into two levels, Advanced and Intermediate — each designed to meet the specific needs and abilities of our swimmers. Placement is based on age as well as ability. Coaches will make every effort to place each swimmer in the most appropriate group to support their individual development and goals.

The Stroke & Turn clinic is a one-hour session held directly after swim team practice. The program focuses on developing and refining stroke technique, starts, turns, and finishes for all four competitive strokes. Swimmers will also be introduced to strength and dry land training, nutrition, and racing strategies.

If your child is new to the program, the coaches may reach out to arrange an evaluation of swimming ability. Coaches may also evaluate returning swimmers to ensure proper placement.

Important Reminders and Dates:
  • Stroke & Turn registration & payment is due by May 25th.
  • Program end dates are subject to PASDA championship schedules and are confirmed on or around May 15th. 
  • Registration for Stoke and Turn is on a first come-­‐first served basis. Space is Limited!
  • ​Payment must be received before swimmer may participate in program.
  • Stroke and Turn is open to non-LSA Members, however non-members must also register for the LIMITED MEMBERSHIP.

Stroke & Turn Schedule 2026

Advanced Level:
Session A*
6/1 - 6/23

Session B*
6/25 - 7/24
Mon - Fri 9:50-10:45 am
$250

If your swimmer is placed in the Advanced level, you may choose to participate in session A, session B or both.

​If your swimmer is placed in the Advanced Level, they will be required to attend the earlier swim team practice (once morning practice begins) from 8am – 9am.

Intermediate Level:
Session B*

​$250

Swimmers placed in the Intermediate level will attend the 9-10am swim team practice.

*Non-Members MUST also purchase a Limited Membership ($155) to participate.
